Team Events

Throughout the year, Putnam Sharks hosts a variety of events that bring swimmers and families together. From swim meets to team traditions and fundraisers, these events are a big part of what makes our club special. Event details, dates, and sign-ups are shared throughout the season.

 

Swim-A-Thon

This fundraising event helps support the team by providing equipment, resources, and opportunities for swimmers.

  • Typically held in May

  • Swimmers participate while raising funds for the club

  • Other clubs are invited to participate

  • Food is available for purchase - all procedes help the team

 

Pancake Friday

A fun team tradition during the summer season where swimmers can enjoy pancakes after morning practice. Parent volunteers are encouraged!

  • Helps build team camaraderie

  • Great way for swimmers and families to connect outside of the pool

 

Champs

The Championship Meet is the highlight of the summer season, where swimmers compete alongside other teams to finish the season strong.

  • Held in mid-to-late July

  • Typically an all-day event (or weekend event)

  • Open to swimmers who are registered for competition

End of Season Celebration

After the Championship Meet, we celebrate the season with a team event.

  • Dive-in movie night

  • Potluck style dinner

  • Team awards

  • Family-friendly environment

  • Typically held late July

 

Seasonal Activities

Depending on the season, additional events may include:

  • Spring or fall practice swim meets (TBA)

  • Team-building activities

  • Special practice days or themed events
