New to Swim Team?
Putnam Sharks Swim Club is designed for swimmers ages 5–18 who are ready to grow their skills in a team environment. Swimmers should be able to swim at least one length of the pool (25 yards) without assistance and feel comfortable in the water. From there, our program focuses on building technique, confidence, and teamwork in a supportive and structured setting—whether your child is new to swim team or looking to improve and compete.
New swimmers are encouraged to stop by the pool and try a practice before registering. This gives our coaches a chance to meet your swimmer, assess their current skill level, and make sure the program is a great fit. There’s no need to register ahead of time—just come by during a scheduled practice and introduce yourself to a coach. If possible, bring a swimsuit, towel, and goggles so your swimmer can get the most out of their visit.
