First Coast Summer Swim League
Putnam Sharks Swim Club competes as part of the Planet Swim First Coast Summer Swim League (PSFCSSL), a regional league based in Jacksonville, Florida.
About the League
The First Coast Summer Swim League was originally established in 1997 to provide young swimmers across North Florida with the opportunity to participate in structured, competitive summer swimming.
In 2024, the league partnered with Planet Swim Aquatics to form the Planet Swim First Coast Summer Swim League (PSFCSSL). This partnership builds on a strong foundation while continuing to grow and improve competitive swimming opportunities in our community.
What This Means for Our Swimmers
As part of PSFCSSL, Putnam Sharks swimmers have the opportunity to:
Compete against teams from surrounding counties
Participate in dual and tri meets throughout the summer
Build experience in a structured, competitive environment
Qualify for and compete in a season-ending championship meet
This league provides a fun, challenging, and supportive environment for swimmers of all experience levels.
Championship Meet
At the end of the summer season, all league teams come together for a championship meet held in the Jacksonville area.

League Scholarship Program
The PSFCSSL offers a scholarship program to recognize and support swimmers who have demonstrated commitment, sportsmanship, and dedication to the sport.
Eligibility Criteria:
Graduating high school senior
Participated in the league for at least 4 years
In good standing with their team and the league
Planning to attend an accredited college, university, or career school
Demonstrates strong sportsmanship, attitude, and leadership
This program helps support swimmers as they continue their journey beyond high school.
